2009 Research Symposium

Pre-Clinical Research Poster Requirements

 

  1. If you need your poster printed, Campus Printing Services will print your poster for you. Your poster will be printed and laminated 3' by 5'. You may right click and download this poster template to use as a guide. This template follows the American College of Physicians (ACP) poster guidelines. Research Poster Template If you have a previously printed poster, please let us know in the word template you send in (see below).

  2. Your abstract should be 300 to 400 words long. Please submit the poster abstract form including the title, authors and abstract of your poster by Thursday, April 9, 2009 . A sample abstract can be found here.

  3. Please email a copy of the abstract, including any formatting requests to UICOM.Research2009@gmail.com. Make sure to include the Title, Authors and Abstract text in a word document. Please use this Word template. Please also submit by Thursday, April 9, 2009.

  4. If you need assistance in printing your poster, the powerpoint or PDF of the document must be submitted to UICOM.Research2009@gmail.com by April 11, 2009.

  5. We need your poster by Tuesday, April 21 in order to get them displayed. A drop off location will be designated at MSB and at the Carle Forum. An email will be sent out to announce the drop off locations and times. If you are having printing services print your poster, they will deliver them to the Carle Forum.

  6. Cash prizes will be awarded to the winners in each category. To be eligible to win, poster presenters must stand next to their poster during the 45-minute poster session to answer questions.

  7. Posters will be open to the public from 10 am to 3:00 pm.  Please plan to spend some of this time at your poster.

  8. Your poster does not need to represent a completed work. We encourage you to include works-in-progress.
