The College Medicine Urban Health Program (COM-UHP) annually sponsors the COM-UHP Leadership Recognition Program wherein students, faculty, staff and alumni are recognized for excellence in leadership and distinguished service to the community. The recipients serve as a source of pride and inspiration to others by giving unselfishly of themselves in order to enhance and make the University of Illinois College of Medicine a better place for all. The COM-UHP on each campus participates in the Leadership Recognition Program.

On Tuesday, March 11 we will have Dr. Terri King and Dr. Stuart King here to talk about the two physician household as part of the Careers in Medicine series. Stuart, in addition to being our Interim Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, is Head of Anesthesiology and Ambulatory Surgery as well as Head of the Department of Spine and Pane Management at Christie Clinic. He is an MD and is an alum of our med school (Urbana, Peoria). Terri is a teleradiologist and a DO. They have three kids. They talk about balancing two careers and family, as well as their individual paths to their chosen specialties.
