Residency
Executive Committee: The Executive Committee will consist of the Program Director as Chair,
Associate Program Directors, Site Coordinating Faculty, Head of the
Department of Internal Medicine, the Designated Institutional Official, and
an at-large member appointed by the Program Director. The committee will meet monthly. Special meetings may be
called by the Program Director.

Residency Progress
& Promotions Committee: The Executive Committee will constitute this
committee annually. The committee will meet after the completion of each
rotation. Special meetings may be called by the Chair or Program Director. The committee will review evaluations, recommending action
on high as well as low scores/comments and decide on promotion and completion
of residents. Residency Progress & Promotions Committee procedures are defined.

Curriculum Committee: The
Executive Committee will constitute this committee annually. Meetings will
occur monthly. The Chair or the Program Director may call special meetings. The committee assures periodic review of each part of the
curriculum takes place, in accordance with ACGME policy. The committee will
review new curricula and recommend adoption, rejection or modification to the
Residency Executive Committee.

Grievances Committee: The
Executive Committee will constitute this committee annually. The committee
will consist of one faculty member from each clinical site; i.e.,
Provena
Covenant
Medical
Center, Carle and the
VA Iliana Health Care System, and one resident. The committee will consider only that due process is assured and that
procedures are appropriately executed. Academic determination is specifically
excluded, being the responsibility of the faculty.
