PURPOSE:To ensure compliance with hospital medical records policies.
POLICY:
Residents must complete medical records in a timely manner.
PROCEDURES:
Failure to complete delinquent medical chartswill result in leave time, at the program's discretion, until the program office is notified of record completion.
Any leave used in this regard is counted against total leave available for that academic year.
When local hospital policy is more restrictive, that policy will take precedence over the residency program policy.
