 PURPOSE:To provide clear guidelines for resident professional appearance on duty with adherence to safety and infection control.

POLICY:

Residents must always appear professional; neat and well groomed, with official name badge displayed.  A clean pressed lab coat is worn on most clinical services, with exceptions to be approved by the supervising faculty.  The name badge is to be worn shoulder height with picture visible. Adhearance to site specific policies for dress code is required.
