Out in Medicine

Out in Medicine is a group of LGBT students and allies who have a firm commitment to embracing diversity on this campus by providing resources, support, and a friendly community for LGBT medical students, allies, and others. Our mission is to ensure a safe and friendly academic environment for LGBT students and faculty in the medical community at the University of Illinois. We advocate for LGBT patients by supporting the inclusion of LGBT health issues in medical school curricula and improving the quality of patient care through physician sensitivity. We also work towards educating the medical community regarding LGBT health concerns and welcoming LGBT applicants by answering any questions they might have about LGBT life at the University of Illinois.
